All of that is good. One thing about the brain; it needs exercise too, and people who do creative things are constantly forging new neurons. It's not always true, witness the unfortunate situation in which Terry Pratchett finds himself, but if you do crosswords, write, play an instrument, sculpt, do needlepoint, something that requires you to think in new patterns, it helps.
