Thank you for all the information, it's helping me build up a picture (and
price). That's interesting that it may have been promotional.

I've seen a couple of the 1983 Granada Hardbacks sell over the last few
years. The 1988 Grafton, is indeed a reprint (insofar is it reprints the
1982 Grafton paperback, rather than the 1983 Granada hardback). As for it
being collectable - it's difficult to say, it's not the first hardback
edition, but it is the second copy I've had - the last copy I sold for £400
two years ago, and I had a few enquiries afterwards as to whether I had any
further copies. I hadn't seen any other copies come to market until someone
offered me my present copy.

It's a lovely edition. I'll await John's reply when he ready, and I'll no
doubt be lurking here and interacting now and then.
