It seems like we could just remove the offending code with the dependency until it is resolved if this were going to hold up graduation.

Well, the issue has been resolved as Sun have donated the parts of interested to the OSGi Alliance separately allowing OSGi Alliance to release (soon) the javax.microedition jars under the Apache license.

Any idea as to when that'll happen? It'll be useful to know if we're
planning to approach the board about graduation in September (I wouldn't
feel happy approaching the board until we've resolved that dependency).
