I am more concerned with + meaning:

        add numbers
        add string to string or character
        add list to list or element

because making a list of strings you better get the parens in exactly
the right place of you get elements in the list you didn't expect in one
place and concatenate elements into string where you didn't want
in others. I've screwed that up many times.

Its just that we've run out of short Ascii operators, and the TeXy ones
should be reserved for less frequently used things.
