If, as Belinda warns, he's developing fatty liver disease, you might want to ask about having an esophageal feeding tube implanted. That saved my dear Luc's life last year. It takes a little perseverance to syringe-feed through the neck, but it's less traumatic than syringing by mouth if the cat hates it. You can also crush most meds and tube-deliver them. Luc had only had the tube in him for a couple of weeks before his appetite started coming back, but it made ALL the difference in the meantime.
