Leeloo went so fast. Just this morning she was drinking and eating on her own a little again. I was so encouraged. But as the day went on, movement produced even more labored breathing.  Then I took her to the litter box, being very careful so that she didn't have to move on her own.  After she peed she started breathing heavily and then made a horrible sound. This was the first time that she was in definite pain from the exertion. That about killed me. This evening, her breathing was laboring constantly.  Blood cell production must have shut down entirely.  She looked up at us and gave a tiny cry.  It was time.  I called the vet hospital at about 11 pm tonight to say I was coming.  As I carefully lifted her, blanket and all, she tried! to move, and that was it.  She died quickly with a few last breaths.  I am glad is was so quick.  My little angel is at peace.

Thank you all for your help, support and kind words.

Sincerely,
Steve

Thank you Terrie.

Please light a special candle now.  Tonight she has gone to a better place.

She was the sweetest little spunky kitty.  She was the lightest orange tabby, which made her very beautiful and had the softest fur I have ever touched and the largest most gorgeous tail.  We loved her so much.

Thanks to you all for your support.

Steve
