Both the stable and dev version should be working now. The dev version has a convenient command "fenics-update", which git pull the most current fiat, ufl, ffc, instant and dolfin and then rebuild them (cmake only recompile the modified part, which should be very fast).
For both stable and dev, given docker and vagrant are installed, FEniCS can run with 3~4 lines of command.
