I briefly talked to thresh about it on IRC the other day, and the plan is to retire the gitweb UI on g.v.o, but keep git via ssh and https functional. This should drastically reduce server load caused by scrapers, and keep scripts functional for a while longer.

I think a lot of fate clients pull from there, since it is what used to be hard coded in the fate-script we provide.

Hi,

What does the https://ffmpeg.org/releases/ffmpeg-9.0.tar.xz tarball exactly

its missing a few commits because the script used to create the release pulled
from what was the right server but now is a mirror. And that mirror was a little
behind.

g.o.v has been misbehaving for a while now, so maybe we should retire it. I

I agree
theres nothing that should be using it, just an occasional script that i forgot

can't even load it right now, and I think ffmpeg is the only project left
