What I meant is: On a system that I did not consider old before testing this patch ffplay suddenly stops working making FFmpeg development much harder. So my question is: Did I just miss how old this system of mine is or will we maybe stop supporting easy FFmpeg development on supported major Linux distributions if the patch gets applied?
