Hi, Martin. Yes, I agree - I came to Linux from BSD/SunOS and Solaris: I think that it's important for the FHS to acknowledge that many of the 'good' ideas in Linux were inspired by the pioneering work on BSD-derived systems. It's also important to remember that Linux is 'only' the kernel, and Debian now supports the FreeBSD kernel as well as the Linux kernel.
