One little note about the fleece to shawl at the MA Sheep and Woolcraft Fair
that may be of interest:
We managed to get the prize money available for the fleece to shawl
contest increased. First place team will receive $300, second place $150
and third place $50. Not bad.
Part of the reason for the increase was to encourage more teams to
participate. Last year there was exactly 1 team! Now you'd think that
wouldn't be too bad, at least for the team competing... but guess what - we
didn't even win! I can say all this because I was on the team (!). Our
first try... we didn't finish on time... But we sure had fun and we got a
little demo money. So let's gets some more teams up and make it a real
competition.
