Greetings to all from hot and muggy Miami,Fl.,
I like to spin in the car on long trips,Mostly when low light conditions
make knitting or crochet hard. I use a spindle and support it on my thigh so
very little space is needed. This is my usual way of working when I can't use
a wheel. Also is great on long bus trips or plane. realy makes the time pass
fast.
As to color I seem to like fushia, bright robins egg blue and purples
best. I made a fancy all linen picture hat in natural with fushia and blue
trim and lots of ribbon work flowers and feathers! it's a rather 1900's sort
of thing but also rather modern in it's colors.This last mon I 've nmade some
fusiah cotton and rayon blend thread with some nice mylar flash in the same
color. I'ts really pretty in the skein but as yet I've had no inspiration as
to how I'll use it. presently working on a pair of multi color wool socks a
good way to use up a lot opf small amounts of handspun wool yarns these are
mostly natural greysand beige with a dash of dyed black and purple /fushai
tweed as an accent. So far I've got one done and am a feww inches into the
2nd.
