I have a catalog that offers "White Buffalo Unspun Yarn" from Canadian
Sweater Company Ltd. It describes the yarn as "...soft, thick, lightly
oiled and water-resistant...in cakes' (that) require the knitter to
slightly twist the yarn at the beginning of each cake."
The cakes must be fairly hefty - they call for about 7 cakes for big
cardigans. Use sizes 11 or 13 needles.
Has anyone ever used this yarn? Is it like Lopi? Is it a pin-drafted
roving?
What I'm really getting at ;-) , is this something we can do at home?
