We are leaving the states 3/27 in the evening, but it will only be a week-long trip. We'll be back in Vancouver by 4/5 and in California 4/8. My mom is a teacher and has to be back after her spring break. I think the point of the trip is to get my grandmother and her brother together for what may be their last visit, and these dates fall close to Grandma's birthday - my Mom's present to her. I'm just along for the ride. We will be in Morcombe (Easter at Bolton Abbey, where my mom promises the daffodils will be splendid), then Shipley and Bradford for the rest of the stay. Thank you to everyone who has offered suggestions, especially Robin, for contacting the UKspinners list and finding me Dora in Leeds, and Penny with great suggestions from her own neighborhoods. I haven't got in touch with the weaver yet who Ron tells me was born and raised in Bradford, but I'll send her an email today. I'll send a report of my travels when I get back, and I'll have a better idea what to make sure I have time for next time.
