This annual event has two major goals: to develop and enhance library leadership and management skills and to facilitate contact and collaboration between library leaders throughout Asia as well as those involved in Asian librarianship internationally. As of today, the facilitators/presenters of the 12th Institute include: l Mr. Jeffrey Trzeciak, University Librarian, Washington University Libraries United States l Mr. Howard Amos, University Librarian, Otago University, New Zealand l Mr. Wu Jianzhong, Director, Shanghai Library, China l Dr. Y. C. Wan, Deputy University Librarian, The University of Hong Kong Libraries l and myself The costs for the institute cover instructor fees, course materials, four nights lodging, breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Applicants may apply for a partial scholarship by checking the Scholarship Requested Box on the application form(http://lib.hku.hk/leadership/2014.html) and attaching a brief statement indicating why financial support is critically needed. Applications must be received by 1 March 2014. Those accepted into the program will be notified by 7 March 2014.
