Thanks for the tip but virus scans turn up negative.  Macs are seldom 
infected with viruses, I am told.  All applications on my PowerMac work fine
as do *all* other Web sites.  Likewise, I can reach the "sub-pages" of the
Minolta site through the Excite! search engine.  Just the Minolta USA home
page does not work.
