Does it matter how it's done?  The point is that some cards *cannot* adjust
the gamma to give a correct display.  If you want to use ICM, it would be
helpful if the video card driver is ICM aware.  Then if you make a display
profile with Wiziwyg or ProveIt! you can load that profile into the display
driver settings and set it to be the default.
