Trying Vuescan would be suggested. I've been playing with Nikonscan 3.1.1 and my Ls-2000 since its release, and I still see evidence of posterization that Vuescan doesn't show. The artifacts I'm refering to are especially noticable in skin tones, but Ns could be affecting other tones as well ... and since Vuescan implies my scanner is ok, I suspect the software ... and it could be affecting your model as well. shAf :o)
