DDS tapes (essentially a data version of DAT) are about £2.50 each in the UK. Ebay yeilds a fair few DDS tape units for sale (SCSI). DDS units have 2 capacities - the first uncompressed, the second compressed (hardware compresison in the drive). Capacities: DDS1 2/4 Gb DDS2 4/8 Gb DDS3 12/24 Gb DDS4 20/40 Gb There are a few DDS3 and a lot od DDS2 on ebay at the mo.
