I think I know what I did -- When I used the clef tool, I selected what looks like a bass clef on the far right of the top row. That clef is easy to confuse with the regular bass clef. It put 3 flats at C, F, and G, I thought, but maybe those aren't C, F and G.
However, I can't figure out what that clef would be used for. Maybe French Horn?

Anyway, if I don't muck around with the clef tool, it does set up the transposed notation as it should. I sure am curious what that other bass clef is, though.
Maybe someone might know.
