One thing you have to do is to read the manual. If you look up INSERT you might find just the information you are looking for.
Inserting also depends on the tool you are using and on the method of entry. In Speedy Entry, not using midi keyboard, you simply move the cursor to the location in the measure where you want the note inserted, move it up or down to the pitch you want the inserted note at, and hit shift and whatever number key gives you the note-value you want. You also should work through the tutorials that come with the program. There aren't any specific locations with answers to posts which would be of greatest concern to beginners. You should always look in the manual/o.l.d. for the answer first, and then if you can't find it, ask here. Skippy G.
