If anybody out there more or less understands the "Page Layout" process, I would deeply appreciate a descripiton of it. *) To adjust the distance on the first page between the top of the page and the first system: I used to go (in page view) to the staff tool, select all, and drag the upper right handle up or down. Now (Fin2K3) that causes horrible compression of the distance between systems. *) To adjust the number of systems per page, I try the new "Space Systems Evenly" memu. Sometimes that works, other times it's a no-op, other times it puts systems off the page at the bottom. Is there some trick to it? *) Does anybody know how to adjust the distance between system s (other than with the "Space Systems Evenly" memu? I try moving the upper right and lower left handles in Page Layout view, but that yields sort of random distortions of the spacing. I have RTFM, and spent two evenings experimenting. I'll be most grateful if anyone can shed light on any of the above. Thanks, Phil Shaw - [EMAIL PROTECTED] P.S. I have the impression taht this is where Sibelius has the advantage. A couple of times when I've given finale files to Sibelius users, they've not only been able to import them easily, but they've also been able to make a lot of formatting improvements with the same sort ofease that I can make such changes in Word documents. Don't worry, I'm not moving to Sibelius, given their copy protection scheme. If it weren't for that, and if I could get from Sibelius back to Finale, I'd buy Sibelius and use both. It would be worth the $500 to avoid the hassles I have with the final formatting process on Finale. Oh well, enough venting. _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
