I never had this problem until I finally gave in and started using a Fixed size for lyrics for most of my templates, rather than let the lyrics type reduce along with the rest of the page. One of the tricks in my bag was to respace the music with the lyrics at a reduced size, and then change the size back afterward. I did that a lot in Fin2000.
