Isn't the HP 4P the postscript model? I thought that was what the P stood
for, but perhaps I am mistaken.

Have you tried installing a postscript driver to see whether you printer
prints with it? You should be able to get the driver from the Adobe site,
along with the printer description for your printer.

Nope.

All this is not necessary. If your printer has postscript you should use a
postscript driver for all your printing.

Ebay? It is probably your only chance, should your printer really not have
the postscript chip already inside. Otherwise try Ghostscript, which will
let you print EPS graphics via the PDF route, or perhaps even directly. That
works with any printer.
