ah, yes...

With Voyetra and Sibelius, you click on a picture of a quarter note and hit
middle c on your midi keyboard and it puts the quarter note right where it
belongs on the staff.

if you want a half note, you click the picture of a half note and hit the
key on your keyboard.

if you want middle c-e-g on the staff, you click the picture of an eigth
note, and press c-e and g at the same time and they all appear where they
belong on the staff.

with my touch pad, i hold it in my hand with the chord through tmy fingers
and my fingers underneath, my thumb rubs the pad until the cursor is over
the picture I want and I press the button with my thumb...it's actually very
quick once you get used to it.

Fortunately Voyetra is only $40 so you can easily afford to use it in
conjunction with Finale, but it would be nice to be able to do it with
Finale....it's like putting in with the mouse, where you click the picture
of the note value, then click the staff where you want it to go....only you
click the picture and play the note on the keyboard.
