Hi all, as I know that here are many composers around, I've got a very simple question for you: Are there any books on counterpoint? I ask because I want to learn morwe about classic composing techniques, as I did not learn those in my Jazz studies. What I'm looking for are books with facts (what is allowed, and what not, and so on). I'm not looking for example scores or so forth (like the 'well temered piano' from Bach, because that will not help me much, if I have no one explain it to me, while I want to do this by myself.)
It doesn't matter if the books are in german or english, as I understand both well enough. Thanks for any help.
