You need to get a VSTi host application - there are several around, including one which is called UglyVSTi Host - this does exactly the job you're after. IIRC, UglyVSTi Host is free. I tried using some VST instruments with Finale and OMS using this application, and it worked fine. It would be nice if Coda included some native support for VST instruments, but then again, if we can use other applications to do the job, then perhaps it would be a waste of development time.
