As far as I understand, the tactus would be the same & the change would be like moving to triplets. The proportion would be 3 minims of C3/2 = 2 minims of C.

The tactus should always be visible, even in the rests. Regarding the C3/2 proportion (sesquialtera, I believe), I am at a loss. Always have been. I assume the C3/2 occurs _after_ the normal C, but I don't know the ratio between the tactus before and after the 3/2 sign. Maybe John Howell can explain more?
