David,

Thank you.  Reconfigured the BIOS and the midi is now there.  Some times the obvious is just simply too obvious.

It sounds as if you may need to configure your BIOS differently -- or look in the manual for the motherboard -- it may not have the capability of recognizing midi through the game port.  If you don't show any possible inputs in the input section, something isn't getting recognized.

Do you have any other midi programs on your computer? Do they show different things in the Input selection? My gues is they show the same "none" which would indicate a bios issue.

Second request for help:
Just upgraded into the current century [Windows XP-Home, P4, 512 Ram, using an ASRock G Pro motherboard with built in audio, video, sound and Lan] and I'm trying to hook up my keyboard.  I'm using a midi\gamebox split cable attached to the game port.  The computer will recognize the yoke I have hooked to the cable, but Finale [2001d] will not acknowledge that the keyboard is present [in the input section it lists only "none"].  Any suggestions?
Before installing the new system, I was using 98SE.  All was working fine.  Thanks to anyone who can help me on this one.
