You can click on Special Tools > Tie Tool, then click on the measure
containing the tie in question, which will prouce three handles for each tie
in the measure---one in the middle of the tie and one on each end. Click on
an end handle to lengthen or shorten the tie, or to raise/lower that end. If
the *middle* part of the tie needs improving, double-click on the middle
handle and two additional handles will appear, one on each side of the
middle handle. Those can be used to alter the appearance of the middle of
the tie.
