The shape of these tie ends is mostly determined by the following settings: Tie Settings: Placement Depending on what you set here your tie end at system start will have different length. However these settings will be relevant to all ties of the same type, so you may not want to change them. Tie Settings: Tie System Breaks System Break Start adjustment. This is probably what you want to change. "0", which I think may be the default setting, will produce very short tie ends in some situations. Try setting this to 6 to 8 EVPUs. I am not sure how this setting influences manually adjusted ties.
