Alt+F4 is "Close Main Window" and it has nothing to do with where the cursor is. It's exactly the same as choosing "File/Exit" or pressing the close button to the upper right, or to double-click on the system menu icon to the upper right, or to... The thing is that Alt+F4 should provide safety questions just as all the other methods that close Finale.
