The problem is that, as far as I know, QuickTime playback will not work running Finale in Classic mode. You might try searching the net for more information on that, as there might be a trick to get it to work properly. I usually just send MIDI to my keyboard and have the kb play it back.
The other solution I mentioned was saving the Finale file as a MIDI file to the desktop, then opening it in OS X QuickTime. That I know does work.

I installed the OMS driver for the MIDISport in OSX. I drew the little lines from the MIDISport icon to the piano keyboard icon. Now Finale will accept input from the keyboard, but it will not play back. It *does* recognize that QuickTime is there, and it is not italicized in the MIDI setup. Suggestion?
