Hello (from *sunny* Manchester!) Well, I've just purchased myself an Apple PowerBook (G3/400MHz "Pismo") which has OSX installed, so I'm 24 hours into "rediscovering" how to work on a Mac. It's gorgeous. but a little confusing, and I find I'm hooked.
So, I thought I'd ask about how to go about installing MacFin 2002 to run in Classic Mode, then thought to myself maybe I should just upgrade to 2004. Which is when I read the message saying that it has been delayed - again. Two points (and I'll be contacting CODA about the first) - I've had *no* contact whatsoever regarding Finale 2004! The UK distributors appear to be doing absolutely nothing to promote the new version, whereas in the USA, you guys (and dolls) get a T-shirt, reduced prices for pre-ordering, and now free shipping (to compensate for the further delay). By the time I get anything official, Finale will probably be back to full cost! (Before anyone says to stop moaning, I may well order direct from CODA and cut out the UK distributors - I've done it before, but having been a user since v2.0, I expected to be remembered in mailings about upgrades!!) Secondly, how *do* you go about installing Finale into Classic? Must I boot into OS9 and then continue as normal, or boot into OSX, start up Classic, and then install? I see a double-learning curve looming up ahead of me!! Many thanks for any assistance rendered.
