Every time I have had to unplug my computer equipment and move it and set it up again I have had a terrible time getting my synthesizer to talk to my Mac and Finale. I think I have even had to ask this list before. I have a Mac G4, I am booting into Classic 9.2.1, OMS 2.3.8, I have downloaded and installed the USB floppy enabler and the latest driver from Midiman. I can do the OMS setup without errors, but the Test Studio does not show that it is setup correctly and in Finale it says it doesn't see it or it just doesn't work.

My synthesizer is Roland XV-88. I have Midi In on the interface plugged to Midi Out on the synth and Out to In. There is a little switch on the back of the synth that says midi or pc or mac. I have tried both Mac and midi although I am pretty sure that midi is the correct choice. I have shutdown everything and restarted many times and run the setup many times with the same result.

Can someone solve this one? I tried calling Midiman but they are closed tonight.

Thanks.

Jane
