Hello, There seems to be a bug in the smart shape slurs when the slur terminates in a staccato. The slur does, in fact, lift itself to clear the ending staccato. But while doing this, the whole slur lifts itself, so that the beginning of the slur is also a considerable distance above the starting note -- and the arch is exaggerated.
I am copying this to the finale listserv group. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is the only solution to turn off this feature? It makes more work. The endpoint is fine, but I have the adjust the beginning, the arch, and in most cases, the shape. If I turn the "feature" off, I need only adjust the endpoint (in most cases).
