I am engraving a choral piece which has some long
words (lyrics) and some very short words on the downbeat of various measures.
The spacing between the left barline and the first note varies in each measure
according to the length of the lyric on the downbeat. Is there some
automatic way to have this space be the same in all measures?
I always use note spacing in the Mass Edit
Tool. I have "lyrics" checked in my default spacing options. I tried
unchecking "lyrics" and it does space the first note evenly throughout, however
it causes many other lyric collisions.
