Friends:

Once again, doubtless because of my actions, though outside the realm of my understanding, I find myself with a corrupted boot sector on the boot drive of the computer I use for my Finale work. I will in the near future, be going back to the beginning, low-level formatting the hard drive, reinstalling the OS, and all software. I've been careful enough in backing up data files that I am reasonably certain I am not losing anything very important.

But it's going to be a while (several hours) before I get to the point of reinstalling the Finale, and it occurs to me to ask how you would recommend ordering the Finale. That is, if you knew then what you know now, how would you install Finale.

I'm working with a machine with at two hard drives; I will be installing the OS, and essential, kernal material on the boot drive, and storing all data on the second. I'm contemplating placing all of the subsidiary Finale directories: Libraries, ASV, Back-up, and Templates there too. The main reason for this is that I've a feeling that I've lost a template file or two. (Not that it's a major concern; I"ve got scores mmade from the templates, and should be able to clear out the scores to back myself into the template.). But is there any reason you can think of why this may be a particularly good, or bad idea?
