Yeah, actually Chris mentioned the polychord problem (i.e., no suffixes allowed) in his original document. Maybe it needs more emphasis? It's one of the biggest problems the chord tool has right now.

length and thickness of the separating line nor can you define the vertical
spacing, and
(b) that there should be some way to enter chords horizontally where
suffixes can be used both before and after the slash (instead of having an
alternate base, you have an alternate chord). A common example I come across
is A/C7, where the composer wants a C7 voicing with an A major triad on top
(providing the 13th and b9). The only way to do this in Finale is to enter
two chord symbols and drag them by hand - a real pain.
