I have a mini-key keyboard (not the M-audio one) and it doesn't make it harder to enter music. I can't imagine using either of these for anything other than single-note entry -- the ergonomics of having it on your desk above your computer keyboard certainly won't lend itself to great keyboard technique, and neither of them has anything resembling real piano action.
