Hi Group, I can't figure out how to get a metronome marking to play back.
At the beginning of the piece, I have a marking of "quarter = 72". Later there is a metric modulation where the transition is marked "quarter = eighth". The measure just before the "quarter = eighth" marking is a 3/4 measure and the measure I want to playback at "quarter = eighth" is a 1/4 measure. For the "quarter = 72" expression, I clicked the Playback tab and set the tempo to be one quarter = 72. For the "quarter = eighth" expression, I clicked the Playback tab and set the tempo to be one eighth = 72. According to the manual, this should do it but when I play it, the tempo doesn't slow down in the "quarter = eighth" measure. I think I'm missing something, either in how to get FinMac2004 to do this, or I'm misunderstanding the meaning of "quarter = eighth" as the way to get the effect I want.
