I tried click-assigning the figures, however, either I am missing
something, or I find this method much more time consuming than using a
special font and typing into the score.
Is it true that in order to assign the correct figure you have to use
the scroll bar in the click assignment window and scroll to the correct
figure? That seems very inconvenient, especially as with typing into the
score you don't have to use the mouse at all.
It may all depend on the number of figures your score has. I have edited
a lot of scores with very heavy figurings.
I have also tried the chord tool, unfortunately without much success. I
always wished Finale would include a figured bass option in the chord
tool, especially if that would give basic playback as well. But as long
as that doesn't exist I believe that the special font via lyrics tool
method is by far superior to anything else.
