Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing:

In the print dialog, in the "Presets" pull-down menu, you have only "Standard"?

Hmm.

Try maybe creating a new preset, then, and see if that helps?

I've seen the crash-on-print thing with Finale 2006 (not 2006a) as well. The solution is to delete and re-create your custom print settings (i.e., delete everything but "Standard").
