Hi Michael,

just tried to convert some Guitar Pro Files via XML. Just as I feared. a very simple little piece worked ok, even the muted x notes got converted. Attached on every note in Finale I find a f (forte). Got rid of them, ok.

The second file didn't work at all (XML error....)

The third file converted, but again the f on every note. Swing feeling got lost, as the grace notes that go through the whole piece. Vibrato signs result into "vibrato".

All in all not very promising... Guess I will still have to do it by hand...

cheers

Kurt

Do you have Guitar Pro 5? The new V5 can save a MusicXML file, which
you could then import into Finale.

Using simple entry, you can enter fret numbers directly on the TAB
staff. So you might find it better to enter on the TAB staff and then
copy/paste to the normal staff. I think it depends on how you prefer
to work.
