I am currently using the lyric tool for figured bass.
The issue I am having, is that sometimes the note stems and beams are pointed down, which means if I use the first verse
to enter a figured note, it collides with the beaming or the note stems. My solution has been to flip them over, so they're pointing upwards, giving me room to put the figures. But I do wonder, would I be creating a music engraving faux paus by having the stems flipped? Obviously Finale points the direction when you enter them in, because of some "standard." I wouldn't want to violate that standard.
