I think it should be reported to MakeMusic as a bug, as there's no excuse for Finale the program to use an algorithm that does *not* check that the filenames it produces are valid before attempting to write them. Either it should tell the user it can't do it, or it should do some kind of substitution in the filename. I have free MP3 rippers that do this silently, removing : from the track name when creating the MP3 file. It's disgraceful that Finale doesn't do the same thing. -- David W.
