*What* should be fixed? So far as I know, MakeMusic can't make Microsoft or Apple change their operating systems. That is, you realize, I hope, that the reason characters are prohibited are because the underlying file systems of the operating systems prohibit it? There is nothing Finale can do to change that, so it should tell you it's impossible or silently substitute legal characters (perhaps according to a user-controllable substitution table initialized with sensible defaults). -- David W.
