1. Select the unwanted measures with the mass mover tool then click "delete"
(Clicking backspace will empty the measures of music but leave the measures
there.)
2. Select the measure tool - go to the measure measure menu - click on
"insert" then when the dialog box appears, enter how many bars you wish to
insert.
("Add" adds measures to the end of the piece.)
