I agree with you concerning the right bracket but, it's a must in
this case since the customer wants it that way. I'd rather let it go

george, clients don't always know enough about notation to best make
these decisions... of course a portion of the ones that know the
least about notation standards - through different eras and aethetics
- often insist more violently than anyone else in having it done
their way. this is unfortunate, but not rare, by the way... and when
your "boss" tells you "no do it the way i said", well, yeah guess
what... your compliance is directly proportional to your need to pay
the rent.
