Hi Darcy,
I am checking the results of turning of Auto update layout and auto
music spacing now, but I can't find Auto Update MM rests, and this is
also a problem, as I sometimes need to change the width of the rest
symbol to accommodate clef changes etc.
Where is that one?

to another part, return to edited part and find the measure

back to their original positions.
There seem to be two choices: print the edited part to pdf
before moving to a new part and assume that those edited
measures will be misplaced, if any more work needs to be done on
the part later or; extract the part. In either case, this seems
to be a reduction in the functionality of the part linkage. Am
I missing something?
